Danielle Moore Scholarship 2024
Danielle Moore was a passionate, dedicated, teacher and friend. She touched the lives of all who knew her and had a chance to share a space with her.
She helped shape the Pinnguaq Iqaluit Makerspace and our curriculum. Danielle dedicated her life to education, and the environment and wove technology and digital skills into everything she did.
Danielleβs life was cut short during a flight to Kenya to take part in the United Nations Environment Assembly on March 10th 2019 when flight ET302 crashed in Ethiopia. Danielle made the world a better place and this page is dedicated to maintaining her memory, the creation of learning initiatives inspired by her, and to funding opportunities to benefit the communities that loved her so much.

The Danielle Moore Scholarship exists to continue Danielleβs legacy and to reflect the spirit of the time she spent in Iqaluit, Nunavut. This scholarship memorializes Danielleβs passion for the environment, teaching, and the lasting impression she had on the youth of Iqaluit, who grew to know her affectionately as βthe girl with the robots.β This scholarship in Danielleβs memory, intended to promote youth learning opportunities and encourage young learners, will support individuals in their academic pursuits, with the hope that recipients will continue to embody Danielleβs love of STEAM.
